As CAGW President, Tom Schatz is a nationally recognized spokesperson on  government waste and has appeared on hundreds of radio talk shows from coast to  coast. Schatz has also testified numerous times on government waste issues before  committees of the United States Senate and House of Representatives. During his 13 years with CAGW, Schatz has been instrumental in a development program that increased membership from 5,000 to more than 600,000. Prior to joining CAGW in 1986, Mr. Schatz spent six years as legislative director for Congressman Hamilton Fish and two years practicing law and lobbying. Mr. Schatz holds a law degree from George Washington University and was graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a BA degree, With Honors, in Political Science. He is married to Leslee Behar and has two daughters, Samantha and Alexandra.
