(Washington, DC) – Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW), America’s premier waste-fighting advocacy group, today announced its opposition to the Justice Department’s anti-trust suit against software manufacturer Microsoft.
CAGW opposes the anti-trust suit on the grounds that it is wasteful for the federal government to attempt to regulate a technology which it has shown itself so inept at utilizing for the most basic of purposes.
STANDARD PRESS RELEASE CLOSER:
CAGW is a 600,000 member, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, dedicated to eliminating waste, fraud, mismanagement and abuse in government.
CAGW PRESIDENT TOM SCHATZ STATEMENTS:
“The federal government’s knowledge of software is about as advanced as a toddler’s understanding of nuclear fission – and about as useful.”
“The people who brought you the hopeless IRS computer system and the Department of Education computers that will be year 2000 compliant after 2030 are now attempting to tell the world’s most successful software company how to do business.”
