(Washington, D.C.) – On Friday, July 30, Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) International Food and Agriculture Policy Director John Frydenlund will join U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kansas) and other panelists for a discussion of legislative threats to 1996 “Freedom to Farm” reforms. The forum, entitled “Bleak Harvest: Is Congress Retrenching on the 1996 ‘Freedom to Farm’ Reforms?” is being sponsored by the Heritage Foundation, a tax exempt public policy research institute. The forum will examine whether Congress is reneging on reforms instituted as part of the 1996 Farm Bill.
