(Washington, DC) – Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW), America’s largest fiscal watchdog group, will sponsor a Town Hall Meeting with House Majority Leader Dick Armey (R-Texas) on Monday, March 6, 2000.  The event is scheduled from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel, 2201 Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas.

“Our taxpayer forum will give attendees a unique opportunity to talk to the Majority Leader about issues close to their hearts — and their wallets,” remarked CAGW President Thomas A. Schatz.  “I encourage anyone with an interest in how their money is being spent in Washington to attend this event.”

WBAP radio talk show host Mark Davis will emcee the event. With his six years of experience in the Dallas-Ft. Worth market, and two more as a nationwide host for ABC Radio on Sundays, Davis will help guide attendees through the connections between local and national politics and budget issues.

Several hot-button issues will be discussed at the event, including tax fairness, government waste and pork-barrel spending, making government accountable, healthcare reform, and the congressional agenda for 2000.

To register for the forum, interested parties are asked to call CAGW toll-free at 1-800-USA-DEBT.

CAGW is a 600,000 member, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, dedicated to eliminating waste, fraud, mismanagement and abuse in government.
