Alexandria, VA (CNSNews.com) - The web site for Citizens Against Government Waste, www.cagw.org, on Tuesday was named the "Site of the Week" by CNSNews.com, the Internet News Wire.
Founded in 1984 by the late industrialist J. Peter Grace and syndicated columnist Jack Anderson, CAGW boasts more than 600,000 members. According to its web site, the organization is “dedicated to educating Americans about the waste, mismanagement, and inefficiency in the federal government.”
The CNSNews.com Site of the Week Award is presented to organizations with Internet sites that provide journalists, editors, producers, researchers and others with excellence in coverage of important issues, relevancy, in-depth content and superior overall web site design.
In addition to its numerous publications and newsletters, CAGW is known for its monthly “Porker of the Month” Award, which goes to politicians who contribute to government waste. Democrats and Republicans alike have shared in this award.
“Visitors to the CAGW site will find a well-organized, attractive web presence,” said Michael Quinn Sullivan, communications director for the Conservative Communications Center, the umbrella organization for CNSNews.com.
“CAGW’s comprehensive research is available for all online users, and should be a top priority for anyone seriously investigating how Americans’ tax dollars are used and misspent.”
CNSNews.com operates news bureaus in the Washington, D.C. area, London and Jerusalem.
