(Washington, DC) – Sound software procurement policy, particularly under current fiscal constraints, requires agencies to purchase only what they need and to fully use what they already have. However, lack of information on software assets and usage impairs decision making on software purchases and contract renewals. Advanced software asset management tools are available that can assist agencies in better managing their software inventory.
CAGW will moderate a discussion with policy experts who will explain how agencies can improve software license management and make better procurement decisions to save taxpayer dollars.
