To Tax Cut Critics: Give Yours Back!
by: Elizabeth L. Wright

Ever since President Bush and Congress passed legislation that will provide more than $350 billion in tax breaks over 11 years, the tax and spend crowd has been clamoring for their repeal. The continuing waste of tax dollars in the Gulf Coast cries out for better management and oversight at all levels.

However, the appropriations bill only affects this fiscal year, and a permanent change is necessary to make objective risk assessment the primary basis for distribution of homeland security dollars.
