After five years of lectures to at least 39 California school districts by Narconon, an international drug
rehabilitation organization with ties to the Church of Scientology, the California Department of Education (CDE) released a report in February, 2005 debunking the organization's drug "education" program. The state's superintendent of public instruction has urged all California school districts to drop Narconon's program immediately.
Taxpayers as Sugar Daddy

Big Sugar is at it again. The Sugar Association, Big Sugar's lobby, along with a plethora of sugar
companies, are suing the maker of Splenda, McNeil Nutritionals, accusing the company of misleading advertising for supposedly implying that Splenda is a natural product. Big Sugar and its allies are also urging the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to investigate Splenda's "false advertising."
Dude Looks Like A Lady

Rhiannon O'Donnabhain was recently granted a tax deduction for his/her sex reassignment surgery
(SRS). O'Donnabhain claimed that the sex-change operation was a medically necessary treatment for a psychological condition known as "gender dysphoria." It is estimated that SRS can cost up to $25,000 over the life of a patient to cover required medical costs, including initial surgery and the many years of hormonal therapy.
Crash the Hubble

In 1990, the Hubble Space Telescope was launched into space 375 miles above the Earth. During its
tenure it has captured some of the most breathtaking images of the universe that human eyes have ever seen. The telescope has given astronomers insight into galaxies, planets, black holes, and nebulas that would have remained hidden without it.
