(Washington, D.C.) – Today, the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste (CCAGW) distributed a letter to all House members detailing the 19 amendments to the Full-Year Continuing Resolution (CR) for fiscal year (FY) 2011 it will be supporting out of the 403 amendments filed with the Clerk of the House. The CR will fund the government through the last seven months of the fiscal year.
“At last, taxpayers will witness Congress voting on amendments that will cut wasteful spending instead of debating bills that funds unnecessary, wasteful programs and add billions of dollars to the nation’s debt,” said CAGW President Tom Schatz. “Elections have consequences, the landscape has changed drastically, and we urge all members to vote with the taxpayers on these amendments.”
