“Waste Blog” Offers Central Location for

All Government Waste-Related News

(Washington, D.C.) – Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) launched the newest addition to its website, Waste BlogWaste Blog is a running collection of new stories from around the web relating to waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement in government.  Updated daily, blog entries include a brief summary of a news story, a link to the original article, and links to relevant CAGW commentary.  Waste Blog promises to be a compilation of the humorous, the irritating, and the outright horrifying.

The term “blog” is short for weblog, an increasingly popular method for keeping web surfers informed without requiring them to read long articles.  By giving blurbs and snippets, Waste Blog is the perfect medium for reporters to stay tuned to waste news.  It also summarizes for taxpayers the innumerable ways in which Washington wastes their hard-earned cash.

Waste Blog replaces Waste Wire, CAGW’s popular biweekly publication of waste items.  The blog format improves on Waste Wire by offering links and daily updates.  Currently, there is nothing else like Waste Blog on the Internet.  CAGW anticipates Waste Blog will become one of the most popular news blogs around.

The media is encouraged to contact CAGW for views and opinions on blog entries.  Blog items are perfect for short news pieces and sound bites on radio talk shows.
