(Washington, D.C.) – Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) today announced the release of its California Piglet Book, in conjunction with the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Foundation (HJTF), Thursday, Sept. 25, 2003 at 10:30 A.M. in the Carr Room at the Sheraton Hotel in Sacramento.
CAGW President Tom Schatz and HJTF President Jon Coupal will unveil the new publication. Also invited are all leading California gubernatorial candidates. On-hand will be CAGW’s pig mascot.
The California Piglet Book combines elements of two perennial CAGW publications, the Congressional Pig Book and Prime Cuts, both published annually and dealing with federal government pork and waste. As part of its on-going examination of waste at every level of government, CAGW has chosen California as the third state to launch CAGW’s state piglet books series.
