Washington, D.C. - Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) today announced Susan Mosychuk’s selection as CAGW's new director of government relations. Susan comes to the position from the office of retiring Rep. Bob Barr (R-Ga.), where she served as legislative director and professional staff member.
"Susan comes to CAGW from a background in federal and state politics, as well as the private sector, working on government reform and oversight issues," CAGW President Tom Schatz said. "We expect she will be a great asset to our office and expand CAGW’s visibility on Capitol Hill and the Executive Branch."
In addition to Rep. Barr’s office, Susan worked for the Appropriations Committee of the Florida House of Representatives; as a staffer to the U.S. House Government Reform & Oversight Subcommittee on Civil Service; and, for the U.S. House Committee on Government Operations. She also worked in the government affairs practice group at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips.
Susan received a Bachelors Degree in Government from Suffolk University in Boston, and a Masters Degree in Political Science from the American University in Washington, DC. She also attended American’s Campaign Management Institute.
Susan fills the vacancy left by Elizabeth Wright, who moved to the Department of Health and Human Services earlier this year.
CAGW is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, dedicated to eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse in government.
