Gov. Walker Will Get Rid of Congress's Special Exemption Under ObamaCare

Citizens Against Government Waste was pleased to learn that presidential candidate and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker agrees that Congress and their official staff have been given a special exemption under the Affordable Care Act, better known as ObamaCare, and that it must be abolished.  He joins fellow presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in calling for its repeal.

A Disappointing Vote but Not Unexpected

Senator David Vitter (R-La.) is on a mission.

See You In Court - Again

One of the things that is becoming more disturbing each day is how the Obama Administration is issuing a tsunami of regulations, interpretive rules, sub-regulatory guidance, executive orders, guidelines, and even divine proclamations on White House tissue paper (just kidding on that last one) that contradict, subvert, or circumvent the law.  Even though I just cover healthcare issues, it is practically impossible to keep current with the changes, particularly as a result of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), better known as ObamaCare.

Control, Alt, Delete

Control, Alt, Delete seems to be the standard M.O. for the Obama Administration when they want to extricate themselves from politically damaging, and possibly criminal, behavior.  Deleting emails, using alias emails, crashing or losing computers seem to be some of their favored tactics.*

Here We Go…AGAIN!

President Obama has told the Congress and the country that he will be using his pen and phone to get his priorities implemented.  That has meant bypassing Congress and changing, or ignoring, current law.  It is well known that this has occurred several times during the horrendous rollout of the Affordable Care Act (ACA / Obamacare).  According to the Galen Institute, a healthcare public policy research organization, the Obama administration has made 23 changes to the law through a

I'm Shocked, Shocked to Find That Fraud is Going on in Obamacare!

When I first saw the headline on the Drudge Report, “VIDEO SHOCK: O'Keefe reveals Obamacare corruption...,” I immediately thought of the classic movie, “Casablanca” and heard those immortal words, “I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!”  James O’Keefe, the well-known videographer, is at it again.  John Fund has written an eye-opening, yet disturbing piece “The Truth About Navigators” in today’s on-line National Review and how O’Keefe and his Project Veritas is doing the job

Disability Insurance – Reform is Needed

A recent General Accountability Office (GAO) report, “Disability Insurance – Work Activity Indicates Certain Social Security Disability Payments Were Potentially Improper” reminds us that Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) is the nation’s largest cash assistance program.  In light of that, it is no surprise then that the congressional watchdog agency estimates that the Social Security Administration (SSA)  made $1.29 billion in potential cash benefit over-payments to 36,000 individuals in 2010.  This number represents 0.4 percent of all primary disability beneficiaries in fiscal ye

Will the Senate Close the Door to Obamacare Fraud?

Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed H.R.

Yucca - Law = Expensive Black Hole

Yesterday, Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD), a member of the Senate Finance Committee, visited and took questions regarding the sequester from the leadership at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) located in Rockville, MD.  The agency is charged with regulating civilian use of nuclear power and according to the Senator’s press release, the NRC had to take a $52 million cut to its FY13 budget due to sequestration.

He told the employees:
