Help me get started!           - in 5 quick steps!                                       

By the time you get to the Participant Center you will be a registered participant with this TeamRaiser.   You have already registered!  Where do you go from here?

First, be sure you are logged in!  The Participant Center is password-protected.  Click here for instructions on how to get in!   

 

Use the power of your personal Page to attract and engage supporters.  

  1. Create a Personal Page - Inspire and encourage friends to give, using the power of the page to do so.  Select the Personal Page icon/link in the header of the Participant Center to start. Choose a sample layout and modify it to your taste.   Tell your story through meaningful text, illustrate it (with photos you can upload).  All visitors need to do is click to donate, and click to join!  The links will be on your page.

 Compile Address Book of contacts you will communicate with

  1. Easily add and upload addresses of friends and family from your e-mail client for an address book that you can access at any time to send e-mail invites, thank you's and so on.  Select the Address Book icon/link to start.  Compile e-mail addresses of friends and family using the Address book.  Add contacts or upload addresses from Outlook, Outlook Express, AOL or Yahoo.  This ensures a ready-to-use database of e-mail addresses that you can send messages to with a single click!

Send Solicitation and Recruitment messages to friends and family!  Ask for their active support!

  1. Send out choice e-mails to solicit donations, and to get others to join your team.  Select the Email icon/link to start. Thank you messages will have been sent automatically from the site but you may wish to send a more personal thank you.  Use the sample message provided or craft your own.

Stay abreast of your endeavors.  How are you doing?  How is your team doing?  How much have you raised.  Look at Progress reports for a quick tally!  

  1. Check your progress - Select My Progress icon/link to review.  Who has given on your behalf?  How many gifts have been made?  Do you know how much you have raised as an individual participant?  Review the progress bar!   Any off-line gifts you need to factor in?  Some may have given by check or cash.  Your progress chart will reflect these changes.

Check your Team's progress - how is your team doing as a whole?  Select Team Progress to check. Check the Team Roster to see how much individual members have raised.  Also find an overview: How much raised?  How many gifts?  By whom?

Keep the lines of communication buzzing!  Follow up with Thank You's for gifts made, Reminders to potential donors.  It's not too late!   

  1. Best Practices to Follow up - Click on Follow ups to see what remains to be done, your list of  'To  Do's'.  How many gifts need to be acknowledged?    Any Thank you's, to be sent?  

Send out follow-up reminder messages - tell supporters that you have already sent solicitation e-mail messages to, that the campaign is still ongoing - that you need their support!
