How can I Recruit Team Members using the Participant Center?

There are mainly two ways in which you, as a team captain could recruit team members online.  Of course, if you signed up as Team Captain and created your own team, you do have some added advantages!

There are three ways in which you can recruit team members using the Participant Center"

First,  Log on and update your message to your team in the Participant Center!

  1. Log onto the participant center and update your message to your team members.  The Participant Center is  password-protected.  If you have registered as team captain, you will have provided an additional team password to let participants join your team.   

  1. Log onto the Participant Center using your Team Captain user name and the password.

  2. You will be able to enter and update a message to your team in a box entitled Enter a Message to your Team Members Below.

  3. Press Update Message to Team.

All logged on team members on your team will get to see this message.  

Send a Recruit e-mail message to friends and family

Use the E-mail tool in the Participant Center to recruit team members.  If you registered for this TeamRaiser as a Team Captain, you can take advantage of the sample messages provided for use.

  1. Click on the E-mail icon in the header of the Participant Center.

  2. On the Choose Message Type and Template screen,  use the Solicit Team Members drop-down menu to access a sample Recruit Team Members type of message.  Or select the free-form appeal.  This is if you wish to create your own.             

  3. Press Go.

  4. If you chose a sample message, you will see the Compose your E-mail Message box with some pre-filled text.  The Message Text could be set up in such a way that you can add text to the existing text - but cannot change the text that is already there.

  5. The Message Text could also be set up so that you can use the existing text as a model but can change the text to suit your own tastes.

  6. Make sure that you have already uploaded all the addresses from an address book on another E-mail Client (Yahoo or Microsoft Outlook), or that you have added addresses to your address book in the Participant Center.  

You could also use your Personal Page to recruit participants

Use the web page that you create in the Participant Center. Convey a persuasive message that is your very own.  Urge members to give and to participate!

Use the text, graphic and status indicators (progress charts) that you can insert with the click of a mouse!
