How do you wish to participate?  As a Team Captain or a Team Member?   

Click on the registration button on the TeamRaiser screen,   Or, select the registration link provided in an e-mail, or on the organization's web page.

  1. You will go to the Join or Form a Team screen, the first in a series of registration screens.  Consult the progress bar to find out where you are in the registration process   This is where you can decide how you wish to participate as team captain, as a team member or as an individual.  You can join or form a team here.   

  2. Select a Team Participation Option:  I would like to join an existing team, I would like to start a new team, or I would like to participate as an individual. You could join an existing team, create your own team or 'go solo' and participate as an individual, by selecting the right link.

To register with an existing team:

To participate as a member of an existing team: choose the I would like to join an existing team  option by selecting the first link.

To find the team you wish to join

  1. Find the team you wish to join in the Register with an existing team search section .   Enter the team name, press the Search button.

      

  1. The screen will refresh with a list of the existing teams

  2. To select the team you wish to join, press Go.

  3. You will be taken to the Select a Participation Type screen.

To form a new team and register as its captain:

If you create a team you are automatically designated the team captain.  You will be sent a message notifying you every time someone joins your team.

  1. Select the second button on this page, shown below:

  1. Use the form that displays to create your own team:  Provide a Name (your name or the name of your team), provide a password that you will be providing to other team members.  They will need to provide this password before they can register to join your team and when they access the Participant Center.  You could supply this password in the messages you send out when you recruit team members.  

  2. You may also select a team division from those available - this could be useful in segmenting your team.  Choose a team division that best describes the team you wish to form.  Pick one from the choices available on the pull-down menu.  If you hope to create a team with friends and family, a selection of Individual Supporters would be appropriate.  For a team you are creating at work, with co-workers in it, choose Corporation for team division.

  3. You will be presented with the Select Participation Options screen. Choose your participation option there before you proceed with the rest of the registration process.

To register as an individual - not part of a team

  1. Select the radio button for I will be participating as an individual to indicate that you will be doing fundraising on your own.

  2. You will immediately be taken to the Select Participation Options page where you can decide how you wish to participate.

Choose  a Participation Option on the Select Participation Options screen.  This is where you decide how you wish to take part in the event.  For example, in the event of a Race for the Cure, do you wish to participate in the 10 mile run, the 15 mile walk or the marathon? There may be a registration fee associated with the participation type you choose; You could make an additional donation if you wish to do so.  Once you have selected the participation type by checking the radio button for that option, press the Next Step button.   The Contact information screen displays.

 Provide Contact Information, Next Step - Sign Waiver

  1. In the Contact Information section of  this page enter name, address information and any other information you are asked to provide.  Be sure to fill out the text boxes prefixed by an asterisk as in the section , namely, the Name, E-mail, Street and City/State/Zip fields.  These are compulsory fields and this information must be complete for you to be able to register:

  1. To receive e-mail or postal mail from the organization's web site select the right check box(es):   To receive e-mail from the web site, select the 'I would like to receive e-mail updates' check box;   To accept postal updates, select the I would like to receive postal mail check box.

  2. To be copied every time a gift is made on your behalf by a member of your team, or by a supporter, select the final check box on this Contact Information screen: "I would like to be e-mailed when a gift is made on my behalf".  Every time a gift is made to your account by someone who chooses to donate in support of your efforts, an e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you provide in the Contact Information section on this page.

Indicate if this is in honor of a loved one

To honor someone through your participation, in the Run in celebration of or memory of a loved one section, next, on the Contact Information screen, fill out the contact information for the person you wish to honor.  You, or the organization hosting the TeamRaiser, can acknowledge the honoree (if living) with a congratulatory e-mail sent to him or her.  Such an e-mail message will only be sent out if you choose to do so, or if the organization sends out such a message.  This will not be sent automatically.

Provide Participant Center Access Information

Answer any questions that are asked of you  in the survey

  1. Answer any survey questions that you see and press the Next Step button.

  2. You will be taken to a screen. Read a customary waiver that you need to agree to,  in order to participate.

  3. Press Next Step.

 Provide Billing Information

Provide billing information to transact your payment of the registration fee and any additional donation you may have made.                                                                                                       Click here for More Help

 

Confirm Transaction

Once you press the Next Step button on the Billing Information page, or click Confirm Transaction on the task list at the top right, you will be presented with a page that needs your confirmation to complete the transaction.

You will be automatically logged into the participant center once user name and password has been provided.
