E-mail Help: Why should you use E-Mail to ask for support ?
Use E-Mail to attract, engage and retain your supporters. E-mail is your primary means of online communication. Send personalized and targeted e-mails to increase event participation - such as Solicit Gifts messages, Recruitment messages.
E-Mail makes it easy for you to communicate with volunteer fundraisers both before and after the event. Keep the rapport going and don't forget to follow up! Send Thank You's to those who have given and Reminders to those who may give. Consult the Follow Ups screen for a quick review of friends and family who fall into either category.
Don't want the hassle of composing a message?
Because we want to make communication both quick and convenient for you, we provide sample messages of every type. These are ready-to-use for whatever purpose you have in mind. Do you wish to send a Solicitation message to friends and family? Use the Solicit Gifts Message Type made for the occasion . Do you wish to send a Recruitment Message to contacts? Use the Recruit Co workers message Type, tailored just for that.
Establish an excellent rapport with your donors and potential supporters
Follow up using customized e-mail messages that meet the need of the moment.
Use the Reminder to convey the fact that the TeamRaiser is still going on and you need all the support you can get! Or, better still use the Follow Ups feature for a complete list of potential donors you have already solicited, but could 'follow up' with. All you need to do is select recipients, choose message and send!
What does it take to specify a message type for your message?
Just one step. Choose a message type (Choose Message Type and Template screen) and press Go. Depending on the purpose you have in mind, ask for donations, recruit team members, send a Thank You, select the appropriate message type using the pull-down menu provided here. You will see a ready-to-use custom message that only requires you to select recipients and press Send.
What if I wish to create my own message (not use a template)?
No problem. Just choose the User defined message type and you will be directed to a screen where you can create your own.
Where can I store the addresses of friends ? I don't want to have to enter an e-mail address ever time I compose and send a message.
The Address Book is where you can compile all your contacts. Before you decide to send a message, update your Address Book so that it contains the names of those you wish to send your message to. This way, you can select multiple recipients at the same time and press Send! Select recipients from this repository of indexed e-mail addresses. Be sure to compile all the e-mail addresses of contacts you consider potential supporters before you start the chain of communication.
You can even select multiple recipients at the same type. As many as you like! You also have the option of entering an e-mail address that does not currently exist in the Address Book, on the E-mail Message page. Just type the e-mail address into the Send To box. It will be automatically added to your Address Book and you can just click Send - the message is on its way.
Addresses you enter once in the Send To box do not have to be re-entered in the Address Book. They will automatically be added to your collection of names and e-mail addresses.
Already have a collection of addresses in another Address book? You can easily transfer contact addresses into our Address Book.
Use the Upload feature to transfer contact addresses from your existing Address Book(s). Import e-mail addresses from multiple clients including Yahoo, Outlook, Outlook Express and AOL.
Common concern: Will the organization use the addresses compiled in my Address Book? I don't want my friends to receive e-mail messages other than those I send!
Absolutely not! Other than the automatic Thank You message sent automatically after a supporter makes a donation, the only other time the addresses in the Address Book are used, is when you, the participant, choose to send a message to specified addresses.
